Way 1: Disable System Integrity Protection on Mac
Ever since Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan, Apple has introduced SIP (System Integrity Protection). If you want to use TuneChef Plus on the Mac where iTunes 12.6 installed, you need to configure your Mac machine by partially disabling the SIP settings, then you can run TuneChef Plus successfully with iTunes 12.6 on your Mac computer.
You need to know, it is very important to get informed about what System Integrity Protection is, and what it means to turn it off. If you decide to partially disable SIP, you will be able to install and run TuneChef Plus for Mac as before.
Note: Your machine may be less secure if you do. We strongly suggest you enable SIP again after finish the converting with TuneChef Plus for Mac program.
Step by step to Disable System Integrity Protection
Step 1:Boot into Recovery OS
Simply restart your Mac machine. Hold COMMAND + R until the Apple logo appears. Then select Terminal from the Utilities menu.
Step 2:Partially disable SIP
Step 3:Restart Mac and run TuneChef Plus for Mac
Now type reboot and press return to restart your Mac computer. After restart, please install the latest version of TuneChef software for Mac on your Mac, and then re-run TuneChef program to convert your iTunes m4v videos.
Tip: How to enable SIP (System Integrity Protection ) again?
To enable the SIP (System Integrity Protection ) again, we suggest you enable SIP again if you don’t use TuneChef Plus for Mac to convert iTunes videos. Please simply quite TuneChef Plus for Mac, then boot into the Recovery OS as mentioned in the step 1, in the pop-up window, type csrutil clear and press Return. Then type reboot and press Return to restart your machine.
Way 2: Downgrade iTunes 12.6 to iTunes 12.5
If you don’t want to configure the SIP settings, you need to downgrade iTunes 12.6 to iTunes 12.5 to make TuneChef Plus for Mac work normally under Mac OS 10.11 or macOS Sierra. There are 4 steps:
1. Uninstall iTunes 12.6 from your Mac
2. Download iTunes 12.5
3. Reload your iTunes library
4. Re-run TuneChef Plus for Mac or M4V copy for Mac
